Who is responsible
Matt's Blues Academy is run by Sebastian Gjertsen (enkeltpersonforetak), Rolf Hofmos gate 10, 0655 Oslo, Norway · Org. no. 925 576 840, who is responsible for your personal data. Questions or requests go to info@mattsbluesacademy.com.
What we collect
- Waitlist: your email address, which page you signed up on, and when.
- Booking a clinic seat: your name, email address, the amount paid and Stripe’s reference for the payment. Your card details go to Stripe and never reach us.
- Your account: your email address, name, access level and when you last signed in.
- Your question for Matt: the question you send from your seat page, if you send one.
- Site visits: anonymous page-view counts. Signing in uses cookies that keep you signed in; we don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.
Why we use it
- To run the clinic you booked and the account that comes with it: the login link, the Zoom link, reminders, the replay and the backing tracks.
- To email you about clinics and the Academy opening, if you joined the waitlist.
- To keep the books, as Norwegian accounting law requires for payments.
Every waitlist email has an unsubscribe link. We never sell your data or share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Who handles it for us
- Stripe — payments
- Supabase — accounts and the database
- Resend — sending email
- Vercel — hosting and anonymous visit counts
- Bunny — video
- Zoom — the live session
- Discord — the private chat room, if you join it
- Google Workspace — our inbox, when you email us
Some of these are based in the United States. Transfers there rely on the EU’s standard safeguards for international transfers.
How long we keep it
- Waitlist: until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you.
- Payment records: as long as accounting law requires, currently five years.
- Your account and questions: until you ask us to delete them.
Your rights
You can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or object to how we use it, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Email info@mattsbluesacademy.com. If you think we have got it wrong, you can complain to Datatilsynet, the Norwegian Data Protection Authority.
